The Majestic Line Fleet
Custom Designed Small Cruising Ships
Our fleet of four small cruise ships is easily recognisable in the company livery of dark blue with a golden funnel. Our boats have been custom designed for sea journeys to the Hebridean islands and the west coast of Scotland. They are large enough for comfort, boutique floating hotels, whilst small enough to allow inshore access to remote anchorages, inaccessible to larger vessels.
Our first two boats Glen Massan and Glen Tarsan are lovingly converted traditional wooden fishing vessels while our newer vessels Glen Etive and Glen Shiel are purpose-built small cruise ships - designed specifically for the Majestic Line.
Deck Saloon
The deck saloon is where our guests gather and relax, it is always warm and comfortable with crew on hand, discreetly attentive. The windows allow fabulous panoramic views of the spectacular coastline as the vessel gently cruises through the landscape. There is a well-stocked bar and tea, coffee and soft drinks are available all day.
Outdoor Decks
The outside decks are a delightful aspect of The Majestic Line vessels. They have been carefully designed to enhance the guest experience on board, providing a perfect outdoor environment for relaxing outdoors. At deck saloon level, french doors open out onto the sheltered aft deck, which has a table to allow for alfresco dining. At any time, guests can be found reading, chatting, enjoying a drink or snack, or just taking in the scenery.
En-suite Cabins
All cabins are en-suite and each cabin can be configured with either twin or double beds. All cabins are similar in size and style. The size of the cabins is spacious for a boat but compact compared to a hotel bedroom. Designed with enough space to allow for a very good night’s sleep but on the assumption that guests would be spending time in the indoor deck saloon, observation saloon or on the outdoor decks, rather than in their cabins.
All cabins have an en suite shower with wash-hand basin and toilet. Again, these are smaller than a hotel en suite but a very good standard for small boat cruising. Hairdryer, towels and locally made luxury toiletries are provided.
Cabins are serviced daily and the crew are happy to arrange any special requests.
Single occupancy at no supplement
On Glen Massan, Glen Tarsan, Glen Etive and Glen Shiel, two double cabins are reserved for single occupancy at no additional supplement. The number of guests on board is normally 11 guests for the Glen Massan and Glen Tarsan and 12 guests for the Glen Etive and Glen Shiel.
First Class Crew and Hospitality
Each boat has a complement of four crew Skipper, Chef, Engineer and Steward. Every crew member has an important role in ensuring that each of our guests has an unforgettable holiday. The personal service and skills of our crews are exceptional in anticipating the needs of guests while onboard. Hospitality is central to the Majestic Line experience and the wonderful reviews our crews receive is testimony to that.
