A major revamp for the Glen Massan and Glen Tarsan

Our original two mini-cruise vessels were lovingly converted from fishing wooden vessels.  The first vessel, Glen Massan is now 13 years old and our second vessel Glen Tarsan is now 11 years old; both have served well over the years and have many fans amongst our guests, who often have a favourite even although the vessels are very similar. After so many years of faithful service in demanding sea conditions it was time to give the vessels a complete overhaul and this took place over the last winter months.  Many of the improvements are unseen, such as maintaining the wooden superstructure, replacing major mechanical parts, putting in new equipment and a new galley for the Glen Massan.  However, refurbishments have been carried out in the guest areas too, with new panelling and a fresh new look in the deck saloon and guest cabins and new showers in the ensuites. Any comments from guests have been addressed too, even the smallest things - such as extra hooks in the cabins!

The two vessels have now completed the first cruise of the new season, a glorious 6-night voyage from Holy Loch, in the Clyde, round the Mull of Kintyre and up the coast of Argyll, visiting the long mainland sea lochs and the Isles of the Southern Hebrides on the way to Oban.
