A Coastal Odyssey - Glen Shiel

What an excellent cruise and introduction to the Majestic family as it was my first cruise with them. I was surprised by how spacious and well-appointed the cabins were given the size of the ship – a real tardis. The crew were amazing - nothing was too much trouble, and they all went beyond what I would have expected to make sure we had the best holiday and were kept safe. Captain Neil did a fabulous job of balancing the itinerary with the prevailing weather conditions and consulting us along the way with suggestions of the route and places to visit. Bosun Chloe was always a ray of sunshine and amazed us with her variety of skills including cold water swimming and playing the violin to us. Engineer Alan was such a wealth of information giving us the low down on the history of each of the places we visited and was able to suggest walks and sights to look out for. Chef Graham bent over backwards to ensure everyone’s dietary requirements were met including buying frozen chips for one passenger and doing a special dish for me. He created wonderful and varied dishes and I marvelled at how he managed in a small kitchen. The whole crew are a real credit to Majestic Line and a fabulous advertisement for the company.
