A Purpose Built Cruise Ship
Launched in 2016, the Glen Etive is the Majestic Line’s first purpose built steel-hulled small cruise ship. Built on the Clyde at Ardmaleish Boatbuilding on the Island of Bute, the interior of Glen Etive was decorated in a similar 1930s gentleman’s motor yacht style to the original wooden vessels. Designed especially for the Majestic Line, Glen Etive was built to cruise in comfort round the islands of the Hebrides and the west coast of Scotland, big enough to accommodate her guests with ease yet small enough to navigate to hidden sheltered coves and beaches that larger vessels cannot reach.
Glen Etive has 7 en-suite double/twin cabins and can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests.

Cruising Far And Wide
Glen Etive was purpose-built, and made for adventure. This steel-hulled boat is fitted with stabilisers, and can thus provide a comfortable cruising experience, even when navigating further afield, as far as the Outer Hebrides and St Kilda.
It benefits from having a dining saloon and a forward saloon, offering guests plenty of space to make themselves at home. The windows in the rear dining saloon allow fabulous panoramic views of the Highland coastline as the vessel gently cruises through the landscape. The forward saloon provides a comfortable location to relax and read a book, chat with fellow guests or just to sit and gaze at the ever-changing landscapes.
The well-appointed en-suite cabins are accessed through a two-way corridor, giving Glen Etive a hotel feel. Like all our small ships, Glen Etive is equipped with high-speed onboard Wi-Fi.

Informal Dining
All meals are served at the communal table in the dining saloon, although canapes and drinks are often served on the outdoor aft deck, or in the forward bar saloon. Early risers are welcomed by a hot drink and any other sustenance required until breakfast is served. The library stocks books on local maps, history, wildlife and attractions and a range of board and other games.
A Well Stocked Bar
The bar in the forward deck saloon is very well stocked, including an impressive choice of malt whiskies (and soft drinks if preferred!) and is available at all times.
Al Fresco At Anchor
When the boat is at anchor the aft deck is the perfect place for milling after dinner, to share stories, watch a beautiful west coast sunset, check out the stars and listen to the perfect silence broken only by the calls of birds and the gentle lapping of the water against the hull.
Take A Spell At The Helm
From the deck saloon, stairs lead to the spacious upper decks and the wheelhouse. When cruising many of our guests like to spend time in the wheelhouse chatting with the skipper and crew and perhaps even taking a spell at the helm. The crew have a wealth of information about the local history of the areas visited that day and aspects of marine interest.
Soak Up The Sun Or Watch Out For Whales
There are two top decks, the sheltered aft sun deck with sun loungers and the fore deck which is ideal for wildlife watching. Alternatively, there is plenty of space to find a corner to settle down with a book.

"Crew were friendly and helpful, we got a dry week which was unexpected for October. Food was tremendous and the cabins were well appointed and comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend."
