Our Newest Vessel
Launched in 2019 Glen Shiel is our newest small cruise ship, built at Ardmaleish Boatbuilding on the island of Bute. In keeping with the company ethos, Glen Shiel, has been fitted out internally to resemble a 1930s gentlemanβs motor yacht ensuring guests cruise the waters of the west coast of Scotland and the Hebrides in comfort. Like the rest of the fleet, she benefitted from elegant upgrades in 2025 β from comfortable upholstery in the lounge area, to individually decorated cabins β making for an even moire pleasurable cruising experience.
Glen Shiel can accommodate up to 12 guests in 7 double/twin ensuite cabins.

Going the Extra Mile
Purpose-built to the Majestic Line’s ambitions, Glen Shiel is equipped with twin engines and stabilisers to enable her to travel faster and further afield, allowing guests to venture to outlying destinations such as St Kilda, the North West coast, and the Orkney islands.
Whilst still small enough to visit hard to reach, sheltered, anchorages, Glen Shiel is slightly more spacious than her wooden-hulled cousins. The two saloons β the aft dining saloon and the large, open, forward saloon β provide plenty of space for guests to gather and relax.
Glen Shiel’s layout has a country house feel, with lower deck cabins accessed through two different sets of staircases. Like all our small ships, Glen Shiel is equipped with high-speed onboard Wi-Fi.

Informal Dining
All meals are served at the communal table in the aft dining saloon, although canapes and drinks are often served in the forward saloon or on the outdoor aft deck, which is accessible through a door, to catch the last of the evening light. Early risers are welcomed by a hot drink and any other sustenance required until breakfast is served.
A Well Stocked Bar
The bar in the forward saloon is very well stocked, including an impressive choice of malt whiskies (and soft drinks if preferred!) and is available at all times.
Al Fresco At Anchor
When the boat is at anchor the aft deck is the perfect place for milling after dinner, to share stories, watch a beautiful west coast sunset, check out the stars and listen to the perfect silence broken only by the calls of birds and the gentle lapping of the water against the hull.
Take A Spell At The Helm
From the deck saloon, stairs lead to the spacious upper decks and the wheelhouse. When cruising many of our guests like to spend time in the wheelhouse chatting with the skipper and crew and perhaps even taking a spell at the helm. The crew have a wealth of information about the local history of the coastal communities and Hebridean islands visited that day as well as aspects of marine interest.
Soak Up The Sun Or Watch Out For The Whales
There are two top decks, the sheltered aft sun deck with sun loungers and the fore deck which is ideal for wildlife watching. Alternatively, there is plenty of space to find a corner to settle down with a book.
