Relax In Style

Life on board one of our vessels is informal and relaxing. It’s entirely up to each guest how much time they spend relaxing or being more active.

Stunning Views and Wondrous Wildlife

Many guests are content to just watch the beautiful scenery slip past from the comfort of the deck saloon, while others prefer to spend time on deck to be fully immersed in their spectacular surroundings. Those with an interest in birds and marine wildlife will also be busy on deck, scanning the sea and coast, binoculars at the ready. Our crew will be delighted to help you identify white-tailed eagles, puffins, porpoises, bottlenose dolphins, minke whales, and more.

Going Ashore

Every day, the vessel will anchor off one or two new locations, including many enchanting places that can only be accessed by a smaller cruise vessel. There is no fixed itinerary on a Majestic Line cruise; there is a wide choice of fascinating and beautiful places to drop anchor, and the actual stopovers will be chosen by the skipper, taking guest wishes into consideration, because they offer the best cruising conditions on the day.

Approaching historic building and villages from the sea always gives a unique perspective and every day brings a new slice of Scottish history to investigate. You will usually be given one to two hours to explore your anchorage, armed with recommendations from your crew, giving you plenty to visit heritage sites, browse small local shops, and enjoy delightful walks in the fresh air.

"Cannot describe completely the gloriously relaxing experience on this ship, the wooden hull giving the occasional creak as we went. Sublime!"

Catch Of The Day

Fishing from the boat is very popular and whenever possible, we lay down creels for lobster, crab and crayfish; if successful the catch will appear on your breakfast plate. Some of our more hardy guests even enjoy a swim in the loch and we have the pictures to prove it! In the wheelhouse the Skipper is more than happy to enlighten guests on the finer points of inshore navigation; they will even invite you to take a spell at the helm. The crew are very knowledgeable about the cruising area and happy to provide a perspective not always found in guide books!

Sociable Cruising

Majestic Line cruises are perfectly suited to solo travellers wanting to be part of a friendly group. Meals are informal, enjoyed at the communal dinner table. After dinner is often a very sociable time, as guests often gather in the lounge after dinner for a cocktail, a dram or a cup of tea, exchanging stories or playing board games. Occasionally, a member of the crew will regale guests with local legends while they enjoy their digestif. We often hear stories of guests making friends on the Majestic Line, keeping in touch and sometimes even booking their next cruise together!

Luxurious Treatment

On your cruise, you will be tended to by a crew of four – a skipper, an engineer, a steward and a chef. These small crews are bonded by a shared passion for hospitality, and for the region they help our guests discover.

Whether it’s baking you a birthday cake, taking you to the most scenic anchorages for dinner, pointing out places of historical interest to visit during your on-shore excursions, or helping you identify wildlife from the deck, the attentive and personalised hospitality on board is often cited by our guests as one of the things that made their cruise most special.

Each boat is a floating boutique hotel, with comfortable furnishings to read a book on in the lounge, lush, tastefully decorated cabins, and ultra-fast broadband.

Food & Drink

Dining on board our vessels is informed and friendly with meals served at the communal table in the deck saloon. The menu is freshly prepared each day to a very high standard by the onboard Chef.
