Our small cruise ships are very well suited to wildlife spotting. While wildlife is, first and foremost, wild, and sightings cannot be guaranteed, a discrete, unobtrusive vessel allows you to get close to even timid species, with limited impact on their habitat.

Read Full ReviewOur various cruises cover areas that are internationally renowned for their wildlife. The west coast boasts impressive biodiversity, with the Sound of Mull, one of the UK’s largest Marine Protected Areas; the nesting puffin colonies of Staffa and Lunga; and the birds of prey, otters, seals and myriad other species to be observed on the isle of Mull. In the North, the Orkney islands are known for their frequent orca sightings; whilst the remote, dual UNESCO World Heritage Site of St Kilda, is home to nearly one million seabirds.
Each season brings its own highlights to the Scottish scenery: Atlantic puffins nest from March to early August, red deer stags go into rut between September and November, and the best time to spot dolphins is typically between May and September. Make sure you take nature’s cycles into account when booking your cruise!
