Idyllic Isles of the Outer Hebrides - Glen Etive
David Nicholson
Once again the Majestic experience was something to relish. Yes, the ship is small and the cabins only for sleeping but what Majestic deliver is something the larger cruise ships can never aspire to. From the moment we came on board until we picked up our cases after disembarking the professionalism of the Majestic team was superb. Dave and Gordon we had sailed with before but Phil and Michaela made their own special impact. As ever one of the abiding memories will be the inventive meals set out by Gordon and his incredible selection of Scottish cheeses. The weather, I suppose, could have been kinder as we experienced some cool misty days while England burned but Dave's ingenuity in plotting our course made sure we enjoyed the best weather we could. Just a pity we didn't make it out to the west coast of the islands. Above all what made the cruise such an outstanding success was the camaraderie of a special group of fellow guests. That's all in the luck of the draw but we for sure struck it lucky. Highlights? There were many : the first sight of Vatersay beach, the numerous dolphin encounters, the ruggedness of the isles but above all, just sitting out on deck watching the world as we passed.
