Travel by Caledonian Sleeper and wake up to a Highland view with a difference

Waking up to a new view every morning seems like a luxury, not so on a Majestic Line cruise! As our ships glide into idyllic anchorages each night guests are often surprised and delighted to wake up to the ever-changing panoramic views each morning.  There is something hauntingly beautiful about waking up in a calm, serene loch with the sunrise glistening on the crystal clear waters.  The Caledonian Sleeper is another company that can offer this special Highland wake up with a difference!

On 28th April the £150m fleet of new Caledonian Sleeper trains launched, taking guests from London Euston to Glasgow and Edinburgh on their lowlander route and Inverness and the Highlands on their Highlander route. With a selection of accommodation including the Caledonian Double, complete with ensuite facilities and a mattress fit for royalty, you will feel like you are on holiday before you even step onboard one of our cruises. Other accommodation onboard comprise of the Club Room with hotel room features, the Classic Room with single or bunk beds and Comfort Seats for those wishing to work into the wee small hours. Local Scottish produce features highly in their Club Car menu like their delicious Eggs Royale and Smoked Scottish Haddock Risotto as photographed below. The complimentary sleep kit with Scottish toiletries add a touch of indulgence for those to feel refreshed as the train rolls into the station the next morning.

Majestic Line guests that choose to travel onboard this service from London to Crianlarich will enjoy the added benefit of a free bus direct to Oban to meet their cruise. For those meeting our ships at Inverness for our Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal cruises, the Caledonian Sleeper will take you straight into the city centre to your meeting place, the handy situated Royal Highland Hotel, which is attached to the station.  You really can't get much better with door to door service like that! There is a 12 month booking window too, which is sure to be very favourable with Majestic Line guests, who have been known to book their cruise up to 2 years in advance.

Travelling by train is much more sustainable than by car or aeroplane in terms of CO2 emmissions, energy consumption, use of space and noise levels so we think this environmentally friendly way to travel will be popular for many years to come.
